What dBFS means
dBFS is digital full scale relative to your mic input. 0 dBFS is maximum before clipping. It is not the same as dB SPL in a room.
Calibration
Professional SPL measurement needs a calibrated mic and reference tone. Use our 1 kHz tone for informal level checks only.
If permission is denied
Allow microphone in browser settings (lock icon in address bar), then click Start again.
